Complaint Type: Online Job / Form Filling Scam with Threatening and Intimidating Emails
Incident Description:
I received an online form-filling/data entry job offer from a company using the name “INGENIOUS GLOBAL” through online communication. I was assigned 300 forms and was told that I needed to achieve 90% accuracy.
During registration, I was asked to submit my Aadhaar details and sign an online agreement. I completed/performed the work assigned to me. Later, the company claimed that I failed to achieve the required accuracy and started demanding money from me.
Initially, they demanded Rs. 5900 as registration/penalty charges. After I informed them that I could not pay, I started receiving threatening emails from a Gmail address: [advocateassociate628@gmail.com](mailto:advocateassociate628@gmail.com).
The sender claimed to be an advocate and threatened:
* police inquiry at my home,
* court case,
* legal notice of Rs. 1.70 lakhs,
* and intimidation regarding legal action if payment was not made immediately.
The emails did not contain:
* any valid case number,
* official court details,
* advocate enrollment number,
* or proper legal documentation.
The communication appears to be intended to threaten and extort money through fear and intimidation. I believe this is part of an online form-filling/job scam targeting students and job seekers.
I have preserved:
* emails,
* screenshots,
* agreement copy,
* and all communication records.
