I was checking for 2nd hand 2 wheeler in OLX. I saw an ad and I contacted the guy. His name was Vikas Patel cisf. He introduced that he works at Bangalore airport and he is selling his scooter since he is getting transferred.
He sent me the Karnataka vehicle RC card photo which genuinely feels real. I asked him whether we can meet to check the vehicle and he asked me to come to Devanahalli Bus depot. The next day I asked him whether we can meet at the Airport toll gate since there is no direct connectivity and have to change buses. He was okay with it. Then he called and asked you need to pay 2000₹ as a toll gate charges which he meant security deposit and that too not on his account but office scanner. He asked me to send me Aadhar card or id proof details as well which I sent DigiLocker screenshot of Aadhar where the Aadhar no. is masked. He sent me the scanner and the amount it had was ₹1999.94. This time I felt weird and it might be scam. Then I searched on Google where I found the same name person complaints are everywhere in FB, Instagram, YouTube and consumer court here as well. So just wanted to report this, please take action.
