OLA is irresponsible for missed belongings

Text of Complaint by Shashi Bhushan:

On 11th march 2023, my nephew Mr. Abhishek Kumar booked a cab by OLA app for me, in Bengaluru for returning to our home from KR inn hotel, K R Puram, after a birthday party.
OLA send a cab with no. KA01AE1057 with booking reference no CRN:7161148177 to us . With the help of cab driver, we kept birthday gifts in the trunk of the car. By leaving cab at the end of the journey, we forgot to take our belongings, but realized just after two minutes when cab left us.
We informed OLA people and they gave us driver details and asked us to contact with him. We contacted on given details (name- Suprekumar D N, mobile no – 7892185658) but he did not return the articles and now his mobile is switched off.
Surprisingly the photo of driver sent by OLA, didn’t matched with the actual driver with whom we travelled. Now OLA is asking us to take legal action against driver and they will support to authorities. We have given application to the police, but till now nothing has happened.
Few important questions raised here are-
1. Instead of forcing his own driver, to return the belongings to customer, OLA passed on the responsibility to the customer,
2. OLA instead of taking legal against on their own driver, passed responsibility to customer again.
3. The driver was not the actual one as per details provided by OLA.
4. In such atmosphere how customer safety, can be assured in OLA cabs.

It could be small issue but dangerous for our society as it is apparent that OLA does not have intention to support its customer, if something bad happen with them.
