Text of Complaint by Srinath Mohan Iyer:

I booked an XL cab via the Ola app. The aggregator said a Xylo has been assigned to me. I called up the driver, who wanted a 50% premium over the price displayed on the app. The price quoted was 840, while the driver charged me 1300.

However, when the driver reached at the pick up location, the vehicle was not Xylo but a sedan. Kindly note that sedan attracts a lesser fee.

No Ola or Uber driver goes by the rate display and haggles with the consumers. I pay my hard-earned money to the company for the services the claim to offer, but am armtwisted by the drivers to shell out a premium as these aggregators refuse to rein in errant drivers.

Such dubious practices are a disservice to humanity.
