Got call from so called nykaa sales and marketing department, some lady #nishagupta, probably not real, called telling me I got selected in lucky draw, though really don’t have anytime to entertain these calls .
She asked me to add products to my cart worth 5k, and not completing the order, rather take screenshots and send it to their business account +918902804617. Whole payment to be made through upi. No cash, no debit or credit cards
Then they gave me 3 accounts numbers in name of @NYKAAERETAIL
In banks DCB Bank Ltd. Ltd. ending with 5701 and 5656 & IDFC FIRST Bank ending with 0381
Till that time I didn’t doubt their scheme SINCE THEY HAD MY DETAILS
But once you pay them , then the drama starts
This lady says we have done paperwork,which they won’t share with you. We have placed your order, but there is some problem only with your prize gift. So, we will connect you with our finance expert or something likewise
This fellow some #Sanjaykumar, alias who I don’t know. Says your name doesn’t matches so government is asking you to pay cgst and insurance money which will revert back to your account within 10 to 20 secs
Cgst charges are 11,999.9inr and insurance 5000. No other people faced similar problem, ONLY IN YOUR CASE WE ARE FACING SUCH PROBLEM
Which accounts to sixteen thousand nine ninety nine point nine paisa
So, I stupidly paid 16,999.90 to Federal Bank Ltdccs Hyderabad
After that I got call from this fellow saying you were asked to pay 16,999.09 cgst and insurance, why did you pay 16,999.90
At this point I thought it was enough, and these people are here to dupe me
Just want everyone to be aware not to be misguided
Even reputed banks like #idfc, #dbs and #federalbank are having there accounts
I lost 23k to #nykaa
No response from their team
No orders
I totally feel their employees are divulging details of the customer to the scammers
Faced the same. Nykaa has leaked customer’s confidential information.
Hi, it’s not just Nykaa. I got the same type of a call yesterday from another company (Maccaron). They sound so believable at first and even I paid up to the GST amount. The same guy ‘Sanjeev Kumar’ told me to get more funds on my bank account or else I won’t get any refund. He literally started yelling at me. I did some research on this and saw that the same type of scam has been going on for two years now and it’s just sad that no action has been taken against them.
