Around November 2020 I subscribed to below additional numbers 9108705908 and 91088828714. It turned out I was not using both these numbers or services.In Feb 2021 raised a request via the Airtel app to disconnect both the numbers mentioned above and there was no response. Hence on 24th Feb 2021, I sent a message to Airtel’s Twitter handle to confirm disconnection as I had made the payment.I was informed, I will need to make a payment towards unbilled charges, upon which the numbers will be disconnected.I also received a call from your team to confirm disconnection and I informed them clearly that I have not been using any of these numbers and would like to discontinue the service.
Again I paid the bill.
Today on April 06,2021 I sent a message again to the Airtel twitter team to confirm if both numbers have been disconnected? as I made 2 bill payments after raising the initial request and not using the services.To my surprise, I was informed only child number 91088828714 has been deactivated (they did not know how) and the parent number 9108705908 is still active.EVEN AFTER 2 MONTHS SINCE RAISING THE REQUEST FOR DEACTIVATION AND PAYING BILLS WITHOUT USING SERVICES.
Today I was told, I need to make the payment again and call or message airtel on Twitter informing me the payment has been made, and ONLY then they can make a request for disconnection.First reason was given that your callback/ verification team could not reach me for confirmation- which is NOT TRUE. I clearly remember talking to them!
I fail to understand how did you disconnect the child number if you wanted me to contact you again and again, even after confirming with your callback/ verification team that I want to discontinue the service?It appears there is a huge disconnect between your social media and app/ phone team. They could not see my original request.I have been requested to make a 3rd payment of the unbilled amount of INR 989/- and message them. I am in no state of mind to make any further payments for service which I have stopped using long back and still made payments for 2 months.
