We are two females who checked in at Hotel Maya Cottage, Paharganj on 3rd December, 2022 and then we had a guest coming to stay on 4th December with us. The reception desk initially declined the guest inside the room saying one male cannot accompany 2 females. Then the reception desk person later asked for id proof, which was given as soon as asked. The receptionist then asked us to book other room as 3 people cannot stay due to the above stated reason as they gave. After which we told them that we’ll take the room in the evening as we were supposed to attend an event at that time.
After this, at night 1 am, after we went and asked for a different room, the person denied saying we don’t have other room but we can stay together by paying extra 500Rs. charge.
We then shared the id again to stay and after 5 min, the receptionist denied the guest to stay in the hotel as the id provided had Gurgaon’s address.
We were unable to get other room, other bedding, and was not even able to find other hotel at that time.
