ordered “levoit mini portable air cooler” which got delivered on 26 june 2023. the item being a chinese and of extremely sub standard quality i decided to return it right away.
now there is twist. i usually have been purchasing from amazon and usually get the idea of “return policy” while returning.
first time i am coming across a term named “self shipping” that only amazon has introduced and no other ecommerce player.
Please note: AT THE TIME OF PURCHASING PRODUCT “SELF SHIPPING” WAS NEVER DISPLAYED ANYWHERE. AND ONLY AFTER PURCHASING THE PRODUCT I GET TO KNOW AFTER 18 DAYS THAT IT CAN BE RETURNED ON SELF SHIPPING. I NOT BEING AWARE OF THIS CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE. A CHAT SUPPORT PERSON TOLD ME INITIALLY HE WILL ARRANGE RETURN BUT NO RESPONSE IN NEXT 48 HOURS. NOW I DECIDED TO CONTACT CS TEAM OVER PHONE. THEY TELL ME THAT THIS IS THE WAY IT IS. REALLY??
AMAZON IS STOOPING TO SUCH A LEVEL NOW> REALLY? NO TRANSPARENCY IN YOUR SHIPPING POLICY. A CUSTOMER WILL GET TO KNOW POST HE PURCHASES. YOU EXPECT CUSTOMER PAY KARE PEHLE PHIR USE PRODUCT MILEGA KOI BHI FAULT HOGA TOH CUSTOMER WILL BEAR THE PAIN?
NOT ACCEPTABLE.
I URGE AMAZON TO ARRANGE SOMEONE FROM YOUR END TO PICKUP THIS AND RETURN MY HARD EARNED MONEY WHICH STUCK SINCE 18 DAYS, I WILL BE FORCED TO TAKE LEGAL ASSISTANCE. THATS A PURE FRAUD THAT IS BEING DONE BY AMAZON.
AM IN UTTER SHOCK. WHY IS AMAZON EVEN DOING THIS? NOTHING WRONG WITH THE POLICY IF IT WAS TOLD ON DAY 1 WHILE MAKING A PURCHASE.
I CHALLENGE AMAZON TO MAKE A DUMMY PURCHASE OF THIS PRODUCT AND CHECK WHETHER YOU COME ACROSS “SELF SHIPPING” OR NOT.
