Text of Complaint by Sujoy Hore:

I’ve been consistently following up with Tata Sky customer care and next level of escalations without any support for the last one week hence reaching out to you, after it is clearly evident that your customer support at front-end as well as senior level staff at Tata Sky are completely apathetic and least sensitive to customer concerns.

Below is the sequence of events that have completely left me frustrated and having no confidence & trust in Tata Sky executives and Customer Care.

 1.     On March 19th, I attempted a recharge of INR 867 but failed (Message from Tata Sky – Dear subscriber, your Tata Sky recharge TC2103191121171066 was unsuccessful. In case any amount got debited from your account, it will be refunded back to your account in 7 working days.)

 2.     I’ve struggled 3 times to get Emergency Credit for no fault of mine and after following up your customer care 3 times, I finally got that on March 20th evening 1800 hrs after a complete blackout of services for the day.

3.     Even on March 25th EOD, I do not see the refund happening. Meanwhile got a message that my services will be deactivated tonight. I can only recharge once I get a refund and should not be double taxed, thanks to erring systems at Tata Sky.

4.     I’ve raised a complaint seeking answers to the below queries, but have got any answer on this –

         a.     Why does it take this much lead time to get a refund. This is a electronic process and not a post office despatch,                 probably that too takes lesser time than this.

 
        b.     The unsuccessful recharge happened due to issue in Tata Sky gateways and am I supposed to suffer if there is a refund                delay (Am not confident if it’ll at all happen). What’ll happen during this delay time, once the Emergency Recharge                gets over on 25th March.

 5.     I’ve been following up unsuccessfully for the last 7 days multiple times with your Customer Care without a concrete answer, the only revert that I get is “Do not worry” without any clarity on my queries raised.

 6.     Your customer care representatives Ms. Megha & Ms. Bhargavi have called me with an attempt to close the complaint unilaterally without customer consent and resolving the open problem in a clandestine fashion. I’ve struggled to keep the complaint open after emphasizing that I’ll be going to Tribunal raising dispute if unilaterally closed.

7.     As anticipated & feared, I’ve now got threatening messages that my Tata Sky services will be deactivated tonight.

 

I’m writing this mail for support on the below two points –

1.     A quick refund for my unsuccessful recharge.

 2.     Services not to be deactivated till I get the refund. The moment I get the refund, I’ll attempt recharging again.

 I would like to summarize this stating it was my grave mistake choosing Tata Sky connection, which I probably did looking at the “Tata” brand value, that I do not see today.
