Text of Complaint by Eileen Power:

I checked into Grandstay Homestay in Chala, Kannur on 22nd June 2025. I have been looking for a property to rent long term to open a healing retreat centre. this property seemed ideal, although it was filthy, smelly and has a young man with mental health issues and no experience in the hospitality sector. I spoke with the proprietor and told him my plans. he was very agreeable. in fact, he and his brother wanted to form a partnership. I was delighted. I have spent all week cleaning and washing and getting the downstairs of the property shipshape. i have had to boil hundreds of pots on the stove for hot water as there is no hot water at the property. there is only one solar panel to provide hot water for 6 bathrooms and the kitchen. now he has told me i need to vacate my room TODAY! I was extremely ill last night and i attended Baby Memorial hospital in Chala. THEY threw me out of the hospital a the proprietor called them and told them i had no money. security guards forcibly dragged me outside, i was crying and screaming. they made me get into an ambulance that took me to Kannur district hospital, where i received wonderful treatment. at Baby Memorial hospital, i was not even asked if i had money, they just refused treatment and sequentially forcibly made me go to the other hospital
