I placed an order on 22nd (12.41 am)for cake online through INDIACAKES.com. This was for my son’s birthday on 22nd July, 2022. Through the day of 22nd July, I placed repeated calls to get assurance of delivery by 5 pm of 22nd July & I was assured of delivery between 4.30 pm & 7 pm of 22nd July. I told the company to notify me (9980022820) at the time of delivery since delivery had to be made at the security gate (outsiders arent allowed inside the education institution). I was asked to pay additional Rs 150 towards shipping since the destination was farther than expected. I paid.
I also requested for the franchisee contact so that it would help ease the delivery process, but my request was not met. I had provided an alternate number for the delivery person to call. Delivery was not made till date and neither of the contact numbers have received any calls. The India cakes office was closed at 7 & no one answered calls till 10.30 am 23rd July. The tracking link given by India cakes over email is a hoax & leads back to their website. With no delivery happened, i emailed the same night to the company informing of the lapse. I did not receive any call from their end. Finally 23rd morning when i got to speak to a staff from INDIA CAKES, she did not know anything.
I wrote to them repeatedly and sought refund on 23rd evening.
25th July i contacted them again & spoke to a staff from India cakes (who did not give her name), she was very rude & said they can deliver the cake now! 3 days after the event! I told her that wasnt acceptable & asked for refund. She says they can only give me a coupon. If this is the way a company operates, I have no intention of going back to them to buy any more cakes in the future. The coupon is a waste of my money. I requested for a complete refund, but the staff rudely hung the call. I have the call recordings also.
