Dear Sir/Madam,
I had an active connection with Idea which was working fine for the last 10+ years. I had ported the number in Karnataka circle in the year of 2016 as I was posted in Bangalore for job requirement.
I shifted back to Mumbai 2018 mid which is my permanent base. Was still using the number however did not switch circle to Mumbai. Was also regularly paying my bills. In May this year, suddenly the SIM showed no network. I visited an Idea gallery close to my house in Mumbai who refused to service me as my number is in Karnataka circle. She advised me to travel to Bangalore which is ridiculous to me to spend 10+ K for a single SIM replacement.
Have complained on their customer support email ID since May but no one is ready to help. Their contact center no is also of no help saying the same thing again and again.
complained to the appellate authority who finally called me two days back (21st Sep) listened to my concern and told that she shall get back.
Yesterday, appellate reverted that as per Idea they have already put a permanent disconnection on my number and provided my number to someone else.
My concern is how can IDEA without customer permission disconnect the service and allot the number to some one else. Since May till date no one has called me to check why payment was not made. Why should a customer pay for services not provided by Service provider when the fault is at hardware (SIM) level.
please some one guide how do I pursue this matter legally against Idea Cellular for not providing service as per service provider agreement.
