I downloaded NoBroker app and took subscription for contacting the owners on 19th January 2024. I contacted 2 owners ( Abhishek Misra and Aman Gohil) for 1 BHK furnished rental apartment in Som Vihar Appartment, RK Puram, the rent of both was INR 10,000 with INR 20,000 as deposit. Both told me to send them my ID card screenshot and one photo. I sent both of them my masked aadhar card ( aadhar number isn’t visible there) with a photo. Along with that they told me that I have to pay INR 2,000 as an visiting amount so that the visiting card can be made and if I like the place it will be adjusted from the rent and if I don’t, they will refund me back. I payed the amount only to Abhishek Misra. And he told me that his Assistant will call me for few more details. I slept off and next morning on 20th January 2024 I woke up and noticed 3 things- (1) INR 90,097 has got debited from my State Bank of India account ( using Paytm) in 6 transactions from sms alerts and then looking at the bank statement (2) many calls have been made from my phone ( both incoming and outgoing) from unknown numbers over night (3) I see an unknown chat in my WhatsApp where a photo id proof of Naveen Singh Tomar from Central Reserve Police Force has been sent to me. I then informed my bank about this fraudulent transactions and filed a complaint with Cyber crime cell, Safdurjung Enclave on 20th January 2024. Even after that I see calls coming from unknown numbers and I have blocked all of them.
