Text of Complaint by Nivedh M:

1. Introduction:

Nexgen Rigs, once a revered PC shop in Kerala with years of established trust, has defrauded hundreds of customers, including myself, through fraudulent sales practices and financial mismanagement. Their initial credibility, built on influencer endorsements and catering to millions of gamers (primarily youth), fueled customer confidence, making the subsequent scam all the more devastating.

2. Deceptive Sales Offers:

Suddenly, Nexgen Rigs began presenting “impossible deals” like Buy One Get One gaming PCs and 2 lakh rigs for under 1 lakh. These offers, masquerading as limited-stock midnight deals, exploited customer trust and encouraged impulsive purchases.

3. Broken Promises and Delays:

Hundreds of customers pre-paid for these PCs. Praseeth, the owner, initially requested a two-month wait due to a vendor issue, then blamed financial fraud for further delays. Despite knowing the scheme’s failure, he continued accepting orders, including my credit card payment in August, even though I, like many others, remained unaware of their problems.

4. Praseeth’s Disappearance and Growing Impact:

Praseeth has since become unreachable, the flagship store closed, and his home reportedly sold. He is estimated to have scammed around 400 people for a total of 3 crores. Despite media silence and initial police inaction, Amal Gopal’s YouTube video has brought renewed attention to the scam, with victim numbers rising as more join the Telegram group seeking solutions.

5. Personal Loss and Legal Demand:

I personally lost my pre-paid Rs. 67,000, incurring an additional Rs. 20,000 in credit card interest, bringing the total to Rs. 87,000. Therefore, I urge the Consumer Court to hold Praseeth and Nexgen Rigs accountable for their actions, including:

Cheating customers through fraudulent sales practices.
Misusing influencer endorsements to gain trust.
Delivering faulty spare parts.
6. Call to Action:

I implore the court to take immediate action against Praseeth and Nexgen Rigs, bringing justice and restitution to all affected customers.
