NIRD (now NIRDPR) Hyderabad is a den of corruption, nepotism and regionalism. No honest, intelligent and hard working employees has ever able to work in this organisation of Ministry of Rural development, Govt. of India. Govt can judge for itself the quality of faculties working there. All have come through backdoors. They can hardly write a correct sentence (forget about substance and content of the matter) but have published so many books and published so many papers. It shows that what kind of training and research these faculties have conducted (retired) and conducting. Its just looting of tax payers, money and govt coffers. If their researches have shown any thing then most of the ills of country like poverty, health problems and agriculture crisis like farmer s@uicides must have reduced to a great extent. but, neither govt nor any authority ever bothered to check that what for money is being spent and what is its result. Employees have become richer but for the cause these people get salary and other perks and even false monetary claims never got questioned by any body. Never any auditing of the work and money spent has been done to check corruption. majority of employees are from the same region where the institute is located. And even Director Generals, deputy director generals are also from the same region almost during every tenure. Though being an All India Institute its a regional institute in every sense. Even a mere ITI pass class three temporary employee (V. Srinivas, Junior Engineer, electrical) has minted crores in this institute under the very nose of the higher authorities and was never visible to them. Govt should close this kind of institute which is feeding the mouth of white elephants at the cost of poverty with the tax payers, money.
