I have purchased an Under Armour sweatshirt from Myntra on 10 November 2020. When I got the product, I found out that the size XL of the brand, which was suggested to me by the Myntra app on Android, was too big for me. So I wanted to exchange the product for a smaller size. But any smaller size was not available at that time; hence I decided to return it and raised a return request and returned it the next day(11 Nov).
To my surprise, the return was rejected and the product was sent back to me(on 12 Nov). The reason for the return was not clear. I could not found it(the reason for the return) anywhere; I still do find it anywhere. I have not used the product and did not remove the price tag and other stickers from the sweatshirt.
When I tried to contact their customer service, I found out that it was nearly impossible to contact them. First of all, there is no direct way to contact them. You have to call a number and an automated voice registers a callback request. Then the customer care may call you or may not call you. Even if they do call, they call from those numbers which are identified as sales by the telecom networks and blocked by spam filters. I guess this is intentional design. And secondly, there is no email address listed in the customer care section.
Anyway, I waited for a few days and finally able to contact customer care. The executive listened to me, and again to my surprise, raised an incorrect request on my behalf. That request got resolved quickly as that was not my problem. This happened last week.
Then again I tried and was able to lodge a written complaint(today). This time, as it was a written request, I explained to them what my problem was. But this time, too, they closed the request and did not inform me of the reasons for rejection and the process of refunding.
They are not honoring their own stated policy of return. My request was very simple: I purchased a product, the size of which did not fit me.; so I wanted to return it and get a refund. But Myntra did not acknowledge the problem and kept repeating that they have sent me the correct product after a “stringent” quality check. I never claimed that they’ve sent me the wrong product or a defective product. My claim was to return a product that did not fit me and get a refund.
