Text of Complaint by Smita verma:

I am Smita Verma, owning the mobile number 7544006053 rightfully. I have been receiving all my bills and bill related alerts on my email id vermasmita123@gmail.com. This has been a practice for the past so many years from the time this number has been allotted to me. This happened till January’s bill received due for payment in February.

Suddenly on 27th February, I received an alert from airtel that my bill has been forwarded to rajeshb@careindia.org. I wondered what it was and kept waiting for the ebill on my email id as it was done previously. On 15th I called up the customer care to ask why I have not received my bill, I was told that my email id has been updated to rajeshb@careindia.org. To my utter surprise, I was told that updation has been done from my phone and that too after receiving the OTP. The customer care executive mentioned that there was a communication on 4th Feb between airtel and me and I must have received an OTP on my phone, which is a blatant lie. My phone has not received ant OTP on the said date.
I am really surprised at the unprofessional approach of Airtel leading to divulging my personal bills to someone unknown. I feel my account has been hacked and I need an explanation to this act.
