I have an amazon account for years now and I am a very frequent buyer from amazon, with prime subscription, subscribe and save orders as well as some pending orders and pending refunds in the orders list at present. On 31-May-2021 morning at 11:12AM IST, I received an SMS that said my prime account has been ‘cancelled’. It did
not say ‘expired’ and I knew it expires only next month, so I tried to login to check what happened. To my surprise, it did not let me login and said there is no account from that mobile phone number. I tried to login with email ID, but same result. I checked my email inbox and there are no emails about this from amazon either.
I called the customer service number 180030009009, but it won’t go through because it is not recognizing my registered phone number. I sent an email to cs-reply@amazon.in and I got a response saying since my email is not recognized, they cannot help. Contacted amazon help via twitter and they gave another number 180030001593 and I called that; the customer care executive also said he cannot help with missing accounts and told me to write to ofm@amazon.in, which I have, with attached amazon emails and order numbers, prime subscription notice etc as evidence.
I had pending orders and refunds in my prime account and a lot of my recent orders have been cancelled or returned by the courier partners due to Covid lockdown restrictions in my area. I have not received the deliveries or refunds for all of them and now I do not even have an option to track or follow up o them because amazon does not recognize my account! What am I supposed to do? Why did my account get suspended with amazon owing me money and without any reasons or intimations on why it is being done?
