Text of Complaint by Suyog Vithoba Parkar:

1. I first placed an order on Amazon India for Google Pixel 5a 5g on 16 December 2021 from a seller named World Bazzar. Also, I usually make it a point to check whether the product is under Prime category and that it has ‘fulfilled by Amazon’ tick next to seller name (These tags ensure that the seller is authentic and reliable). The delivery date was naxt day i.e. 17th December (A standard privilege for Prime customers of Amazon) . But all of a sudden in the evening of 17th, when I checked the tracking details, it was mentioned that the order was unserviceable and was being returned to the seller. All this after the order had arrived at the final delivery station. I was shocked and called up Amazon customer service right away. Therein, I was informed that there might be a technical issue during dispatch (he specifically mentioned about barcode or some other scanner issue) and I should proceed with a fresh order.
2. So on 18th again I placed a reorder from the same seller and the delivery date was 20th. But this order wasalso returned back to the seller after arriving at the final delivery station. This time I lost got angry and I contacted customer service and told them everything. The person at the other end wasn’t able to give satisfactory answer so I asked her to connect me to her superior. She then connected me to one person named Mr. Pradeep. He heard me patiently and I asked him whether I should make a fresh order since I wanted that phone. This time I asked him specifically that If I place an order from another seller would it be cancelled too?. He replied in negative and said that this time the order would be delivered for sure.
3. So on 21st December I placed the order for the third time from a different seller Named New York Plaza (both Prime and Fulfilled by Amazon) and the delivery date was the same day. But the most surprising part is that this order also got cancelled after being tagged as undeliverable on the tracking page, the screenshot of which is attached for reference. I don’t understand why has it been a issue for both the seller at the dispatch point only. This whole episode seems very fishy.
4. Finally I would like to conclude that this experience on Amazon has been nothing short of mental agony and torture, since I have been incessantly calling customer service and you have been providing false assurances to me. A recording of one such false assurance by one Mr. Rahul (evening of 21 December, 3rd order) is being attached for your kind information please. Also, since I placed the order multiple times, there were multiple transactions from my credit card which have hampered my credit score ( I exceeded the 30% limit of my credit card due to multiple transactions, which is considered bad for credit rating) and the order has not been delivered too. A loss for me on many counts.
5. The worst part about all this experience is that upon calling the customer care executive, I was always provided a false assurance that the order would certainly be delivered and when it eventually got cancelled, another fake assurance that the next order that I place will be delivered. Also, I would like to state that the mobile phone that I was ordering was a birthday gift for my wife. So this was another frustration on my part. Considering this, I expect a compensation of fifty thousand rupees for all the mental agony that i faced in the whole course of transactions with Amazon
5. I hope you take cognizance of the same and provide me a just redressal of my grievance.
