We have been using Vodafone service since years and we get a message today asking us to recharge for 35 rupees to enjoy uninterrupted service. I already have 250-300 rupees balance in my phone. I checked with the customer care and they tell me that there is this new rule from the telecom department saying that everybody should recharge 35 rupees atleast every month or equivalent to enjoy uninterrupted service.
I totally find this disgusting. There are lot of poor people who wouldn’t be able to spend 35 rupees every month. How can Vodafone have such a rule? In my case, I already have 250-300 balance. Why else in this world do I have to recharge more when I don’t need it? There are lot of house wives as well who don’t earn money by any means. How can they invest in such? Did they do a mistake by taking a phone? If they do it this way people would stop using phones. Is that what the service provider is looking into? Vodafone should leave it to people on when we want to recharge and when not to. This is a cheap way of making money.
