Text of Complaint by RAJENDRA PRASAD AND SHOBHA RAJAN:

This is a complaint from a SENIOR CITIZEN COUPLE. I have been a loyal customer of Airtel for several decades but for last few years I am having serious network problem in my area, so much so that having my airtel SIM for my mobile phone is a totally superfluous expenditure for a couple on pension. My wife had a ‘idea’ which was a way better than my airtel sim. About 5-6 months ago, I walked into an Airtel office in Naraina to surrender my Airtel sim to be able to port a sim from other service providers.

The Executive Pallavi Nagpal literally brainwashed me and was successful in convincing me that I should retain airtel sim and change to a ‘family plan’ that would include my wife’s sim also. She told that the service in my area is to be improved shortly. With that advice, I opted for a ‘family plan’ from Airtel and got ported my wife’s idea sim to Airtel.

Needless to say, we have been suffering as before and my wife’s number is also invariably without network availability.

Real Issue: Now the real issue is that my wife’s sim has been disabled by Airtel ILLEGALLY.  I have been regularly paying the combined bill of both mobile numbers. When the complaint was registered, we have advised to walk-into the Airtel outlet for resolution and resubmit certain documents to be KYC compliant. It should be noted that all required documents were submitted when the ‘family plan’ was sold to us. On contacting Pallavi Nagpal, she stated that she would check and find out why the service has been withdrawn. On visiting the Airtel outlet personally, we were told that my wife’s sim was wrongly registered under ‘corporate plan’ category which was rectified and the service restored.

Now, for last one week, the same sim that of my wife has been disable again for the same reason. Reporting the matter at 121 twice doest not help as they have been tutored to drag us to the ‘airtel’ outlet. Spoken to Pallavi Nagpal on phone who assured that she would return back within an hour but she did not care to come back even after 3 days.

I would like to know how my services can be restored and how I can be suitably compensated by the Service Provider who has been paid in full but failed in providing the service.
