I placed an Order# 407-3695608-8634729 for a mobile phone from outside India to be delivered at my address in India and I told about the order to my brother and on the day of delivery agent called asked for location and delivery, since my brother wasnt at home and he has left his phone at home, my sister picked up the phone and told that no body in the family has ordered anything as she was not aware of this order and fearing that some neighbour might have ordered something and she might have to pay(pay on delivery) she asked the agent to cancel the order/delivery. Agent then asked for OTP which she was able to locate in that phone’s text messages and gave it to agent.
Now the order said delivered while it should have said cancelled and money should have been refunded. but when I contacted amazon customer care they just kept saying that they followed OTP process there is nothing they can do and no refund can be provided as they followed the OTP process. upon asking delivery person contact they responded saying they dont have that details. When we call to the number from which agent had called on the day of delivery it is picked up by some lady in pune and says she doesnt work with amazon.
So my main complaint is that if ordered was denied to be received for this confusion and cancelled as requested by agent why the order says delivered rather than cancelled. because of that they are not ready to refund my ~17k rupees.
