I am writing this email on behalf of my wife Neelam Patil (9930305807) who number was being \ ported to Airtel . It been more than 2 months now and i quite frustrated how things are handled . Not sure if ´you can help me in this but just trying from my end .
It all started with my mistake of telling her to porting her number to Airtel because of better service. It all started all well with the documents provided to a Airtel Guy called
Shivam ( +91 7400066501) . This was well 2 weeks before the National Lockdown which started on 21th March . I have provided the documents on 12th March and was told that SIM will be provided to me at the residence . I waited 2-3 days no SIM , UPC code provided twice also in between. Then i checked on 18th ,19th March no SIM, meanwhile the previous carrier vodafone also stopped the SIM service . Then after so much follow up on 20th March he said he will get it delivered and some guy will do it. I called up that guy till afternoon 3 PM he said he will come since he has to deliver multiple places and i waited . Then after 4 PM i called him back and he said he can’t deliver and that’s it.
NO SIM neither any updates from Shivam, I asked him regarding the SIM he said to get it from any Airtel Gallery shop. If he could have told me this before I would have not come to this situation. Anyway due to lockdown all shops where closed and i could not do anything and I waited. Then on 24th April he sends message that their work has started again and he is sending the SIM. I got the SIM from a guy , but he asked me to check with Shivam soon regrading the activation. I checked with Shivam and he said to wait since the number has being deactivated since more than 30 days has passed and Phone verification was not completed.
From here starts another story, he said to wait 2-3 days which i waited .I tried to call him up, whatsapp etc he did not respond much and gave another Guy number Pravin Yadav (9004049955) . Spoke with him once and he said he will get back and some NMS team needs to update the data in some system etc. I waited another 2 days and when i tried calling him he stopped picking up my calls , nor any response on whatsapp. I even emailed all these people regarding the issue a_ambadas.kardure@airtelworld.com,
a_pravin.yadav@airtelworld.com & enterprise@in.airtel.com . No response from anyone (have attache the email) . Then I twitted the issue on Airtel Handle finally someone called back but the same old story that phone verification issue and user did not activate SIM , inspite telling them that I got SIM after a full whole Month and more . I wasted a week there too . Finally after making me to check with vodafone custoomer if the number exists with them etc and the ping pong circus , the net team (mail trail below) confirmed that the number is with Airtel and they can’t do much and I need to visit a Airtel store and do KYC again to get the number activated with a new SIM .
Now I have given up all hope with Airtel after 2 Months .
I have contacted a airtel store near my residence and provided the documents to him too. He said he is waiting for approval from Airtel to issue the SIM since it is registered to the above agency and someone from airtel needs to approval to move it to his name . So past 5 days I am running to get it approved.
Airtel customer Care is appalling.
