Text of Complaint by Alka Agarwal:

I am using a prepaid mobile number since long time which originally was from Airtel and I ported the number to JIO in April 2019. I was charging the number on 5th Oct 2022 but found that the number was deactivated. I put the complaint to JIO care. I got the phone from JIO customer care on 6th Oct, they told that number was deactivated only 2 days before.
I requested them to reactivate the number. I was constantly in touch with them on phone, e-mail and physically visiting the JIO store. I was always told to not to worry and given the surety that my number will be activated by them.
But on 14th Oct, when I again visited the store, I was told that the number is now gone back to Airtel and JIO can not do anything now, only Airtel can give the number back. This was the consequence of the late action taken by Jio team.
I went to Airtel office on 14th itself and written my grievance by mail too.
Today ie 16th Oct on visiting the Airtel office they say that I can not get the number.
I have been put into very awkward position due to the harassment by both the offices.
I am using the number since long time, circulated to all my friends, relatives, my offices in India and abroad, financial institutions and social media.
I only need my number back. It is confirmed that till the number is not being allotted to any other person.
This is the last option now for me to put my request to get my number back.
