Text of Complaint by JYOTI GUPTA:

I had dispatched my luggage through railways from Vijaywada (BZA) to Jaipur (JP). I had completely packed the luggage from my end in cardboard boxes and then had to again get all the boxes packed in a gunny bag. I had also dispatched my plastic cooler that was also packed in the gunny bag. The luggage was received in good condition in Jaipur. Thereafter I had to dispatch the luggage from Jaipur to Kota and then Ajmer. When I received the parcel luggage in Ajmer, it was all torned out completely and I could feel that someone stole items from my luggage because the carboard boxes were ripped apart. Upon unpacking it at my home, I found several household items to be missing. My cooler is broken completely and all the tyres attached to it were missing. It is a grave concern because I had the trust on railways that the parcel would be received without any issues, but now I am seriously worried and disappointed. I demand compensation for my loss. Most of the items missing were very costly and I had spent my hard earned money on them. I sincerely request the authorities to take action and demand compensation. The PRR number of all the 3 dispatch are mentioned hereby – 4001929458 (BZA – JP) ; 4001932026 (JP – KOTA) ; 2020663496 (KOTA – AJMER)
I want to raise another concern apart from this that the there are agents operating in the parcel service and they demand hefty money to just load the parcel/luggage. They perceive that the person has no option but to dispatch his/her item, so initially they say that the parcel could not be made because of any reason, and when the customer panic, they demand hefty money to just load the parcel in the boggies. Sir/Ma’am, I have incurred much loss through both the means. In spite of spending so much money, the result was this. I am seriously disappointed and I please request you to provide me compensation atleast for the loss of my household item and cooler. I could not take the pictures because it didn’t occur to me, I didn’t thought of taking the photo at the time of receiving it. But I took the picture after opening the parcel which is attached.
I had complained on Railway Madad helpline, but there was no update from their side. Instead the officer whom I had spoken to asked me to visit Ajmer station and register the complaint manually. What could be the use of online platforms when I have to visit the place to get my complaint registered. Please look into this matter urgently and oblige. Thank you very much.
