Airtel forced to upgrade current 99 / month rental plan to 249/month rental plan. When enquired why this was forced it was told as old plans were being expired. Agreed for the change as the call Centre executive confirmed the monthly charge will be mostly same as 99/month plan.
However airtel upgrades me to 299/month rental plan. Clear case of cheating the consumer.
Again called airtel back on this topic and they agreed to change it to 249/month plan. Got a sms stating ₹50/month rental discount applied for 12 months only .
Again had to call airtel after a lengthy discussion nothing seem to have happened. The call center lead says if the rental plan is available at the end of 12 months then it will be applied else I need to keep paying 299/month.
With all the losses mounting airtel seems to be extracting money from customers by misinforming them and forcing to shell out the extra money.
