Text of Complaint by Saurabh Johri:

I had booked a round trio ticket from Delhi to Jakarta with halt in Singapore on 16th June in evening which costed approx 75K. Post booking saw that i made a typo error in my first name (entered Surabh in place of Saurabh) so immediately selected the option on their app for name correction. I got a call from MMT on 17th to share a copy of my passport over mail, which i did immediately. I had checked the cost of same flight and saw that the cost is approx the same. On 18th i got a call form MMT, stating that the name correction will be done but for that i will have to call singapore airlines mumbai number and for this they will charge $50 which will be asked on an IVR call. I called the number and after 40 mins of waiting time i got connected. The staff there told me that the name correction will only be done by the agent (MMT) as the booking was done via them. I immediately raised the ticket again with MMT to resolve this for which i got a call again asking for my passport. For next 2 days i did not get any revert and only thing i was asked is to wait for the response. I called both the airlines (Singapore and scoot) for this issue and told them that MMT is not able respond on time and the price of ticket is just going up. They told me that any changes can only be done via the agent. On Tuesday I got a call from MMT that the name change cannot be done as this is a code sharing flight and only option is to cancel this flight. I was devasted and under stress as this misguidance part on MMT made me wait for cancelling and rebooking and the wait just increased the cost of ticket from 75K to 95K and also did not get the same flight in 1 leg. If MMT would have not shared half/incorrect information and gave me the correct response then i would not have to purchase same ticket with higher price. Not only they misguided me, and wasted my time but due to this but also they did not take the responsibility of being an agent and just asked the customer to do it himself. The cost of ticket was approx 75K till 18th June.
