I was misled into purchasing a health plan through a third-party mediator associated with the Oxxy Health company, who falsely promised me a loan of ₹50 lakh by HDB Financial services. Acting through two brokers, the mediator assured me that my loan application had already been approved, but they insisted that I needed to buy an additional health plan — the “Oxxy Health Plan” worth ₹99,000 — in order to process the loan. They further assured me that the loan would be disbursed within 10 days and that the health plan could be cancelled afterwards.
Relying on their claims, I purchased the Oxxy Health Plan on 05/11/2024, paying ₹99,000 in two installments of ₹50,000 and ₹49,000 respectively. I have attached proof of these payments.
However, despite waiting for the past six months, the loan has still not been processed. To my utter dismay, after purchasing the two plans, I discovered that the assurance of a loan was misleading and no such facility was extended to me. Mr. Rahul Singh (9582068573, 8587091126, 9355699609) kept on assuring me via calls and WhatsApp that the loan would be processed very soon, but no outcome. Being frustrated, I also asked him to cancel the policy and refund me the same. He kept on assuring that it would be done at the earliest, but again, no outcome. This constitutes a clear breach of trust and falls under unethical business practices.
This experience has caused me significant financial and emotional distress. Such agencies are committing fraud in the market and looting poor, innocent people who earn their daily wages with great effort and hard labour. If such practices continue unchecked, it will ultimately lead to widespread mistrust in our government and its institutions.
