Day before yesterday, I received a call from someone claiming to be from Meesho customer care, stating they had all the details of my order, including that I had ordered two items. They said there was a network issue on their end during the transaction and asked me to repay the amount using a QR code they sent via WhatsApp, and to share the payment screenshot along with the transaction ID. I also received an OTP from them for Meesho login. After completing the payment, they assured me that the original amount I had paid to Meesho would be refunded to my account within half an hour. They continued messaging me about the refund, and when I called back to verify their identity, the person introduced himself as Shankar Mishra from Meesho and even offered to share his job ID to gain my trust. However, the next day when I tried to contact them again regarding the refund, their phone was switched off.
