Hi,
I booked a AirAsia flight ticket from Bengaluru to Ranchi, for dated 1st August 2020, using MakeMyTrip app. I paid total of 5878 for the ticket.
On 17th August, I got an email from AirAsia mentioning that the flight is cancelled, and had 3 options – 1. Date Change, 2. Full refund to Credit account and 3. Full refund
As I booked from MakeMyTrip, it was mentioned to contact concerned Online Travel Agency.
I reached out to MakeMyTrip on 27th July and submitted a request for Full refund.
On 3rd August, I saw I got a refund of only 2088. I contacted MMT on 4th to query on the same, and I was told that the remaining amount will be refunded within a week.
After waiting for 2 weeks, and no further amount been refunded, I contacted MMT Support again, and this time they said the remaining amount would be added to my AirAsia Credit account.
I checked my AirAsia credit account, and it showed NIL.
I then right away contacted AirAsia Support to check on the status of the refund. They replied the refund case is closed and the amount is transferred to the Travel Agency. Also, they mentioned contacting the travel agency for refund status.
I’m being made run like a pendulum between MakeMyTrip and AirAsia to get the remaining amount refunded.
In this bad time of COvid Pandemic, I’m suffering a financial crisis and, the remaining amount of 3790 matters a lot for living.
Please look into this plea and assist.
