Text of Complaint by Madhura Shetty:

This is with regards to the ordeal that I am going through Makemytrip customer service department for which i want you to look at and help me..I had booked a round ticket from Mumbai to Washington for which i paid 247000 rupees. My onward journey from Mumbai to Washington has already happened. Now return journey i want to do it from different sector which Makemytrip customer service department said it not doable. So i asked them on Sat 9th July, if i goahead and cancel the return journey how much would i get refund. The lady told me i will get refund of 118000 rupees out of 247000 considering i have already done the onward journey and the penalty charges. She asked me if she can goahead and cancel. I said no as i wanted to do online. But in online there is no option of cancellation as it directs me to a window saying something went wrong and i have to contact customer service team. 
When i called up again to cancel i was told by the customer executive that i will get only 30000 as 190000 has already been utilised on onward journey. Out of 247000, they are saying 190000 is utilised for 2 pasengers which means only 50000 is charged for return trip from washingtion to Mumbai. In the invoice or in the ticket that i had booked this, there was no breakup of how much is charged for each sector. Then after sometime i again called asking about refund, that time i was told i will get 49700 amount. Then again after sometime when i called, i was told i will not get any refund as ticket is non refundable. Then again i called today morning, i was told i will get 29000.This clearly shows that the calculations are done on their own by the customer executives. 
Based on the wrong information that was provided for the first time, i went ahead and booked a new ticket for the different sector which is non refundable one. I asked Makemytrip to cancel atleast this one, then they are not even ready to do this and provide me full refund as its not even 2 4 hours that i booked this ticket. I spoke to Delta airlines and they said Makemytrip can do the needful and provide full refund but MMT is denying to do so.
So i have now 2 tickets, double booking, no refund at all. All because of one wrong information by one of the customer executive. This clearly shows that i am being cheated.
Can you look into this and help immediately. ITs my hard earned money which is stuck for the wrong information provided by MMT customer service department.
