1-Bait and switch: I booked flights and paid for an upgrade. They changed the flights and asked that I pay for a full new, way more expensive, upgrades for changes THEY made. The agent claimed TWICE I would get a refund for the first upgrade in 7 business days. BASED on that, I went ahead and got the new upgrade.
2- FRAUD: The 7 business days passed and no money was returned. I called back to find that none of them can tell me where is my money, or when will I see it. They did tell me that MANY others are being defrauded in this way: they get a promise and then there is no money.
It has been now 14 days since the day I was scammed by their flight change. NONE of their contacts tell me where is my money. Not their offices in NY, nor would their executives in Germany would respond.
I have filed complaints now with the FTC (and they already agreed), FBI, and DOT. Also, I filled a complaint with my states Attorney General. But this is hurting me big time! I am incurring fees averaging now 80 a day.
I told them everything I say here, and all I get is ignored or a “we are looking into it”.
