Getting WhatsApp message from Rupeeking, asking to make an enormous loan repayment. This app is even not available from Google Playstore. When checking the app from the link, there is no Company logo, just only a generic Android app logo. When I am reverting back, asking for details of the transaction, it’s only showing one tick, which means, once the message is being sent, they are either switching off their data, or the number is no longer valid. This has happened 3 times already. Again got a same message for another app, which is also no available on Playstore, which is “RupeeMall”. When I installed the app, it is showing an huge outstanding amount, which is showing an absurd date and time line and amount. Generally, when a load is dispatched, suppose on 11th of any month, if the tenure is for only 7 days, the due date should be 18th, but they are also sending message on 6th day, telling that the 6th day is the due date. There is so much inconsistency in the information which is being shows. There should also be a section on other genuine app, where your transaction details with loan reference ID should show, here it is completely missing. While checking the bank statement, is not showing any payment being made on any date for the whole month. When I crossed checked the number from where the message was coming from, it appear that the number belongs to an individual, I am guessing that they are not even aware that their number is being used for such scam.
