Text of Complaint by Ikjot Sodhi:

I would like to complaint against Amazon for purchasing a laptop. I purchased the laptop, in exchange of my old laptop, on 30 july 2022. It was to be delivered on 01 August. The laptop didn’t come by 9 pm so I called the delivery man. The delivery man said that he will deliver in an hour i.e. 10pm. I kept on waiting but the delivery man neither showed up, nor answered my calls. He declined my calls. At 10:15 pm, the app showed my order having cancelled stating that my old laptop did not meet the Amazon exhange criterion. AMAZON, PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DELIVERY MAN NEVER VISITED MY HOUSE!!! You can check your call records, I had called him three times between 9Pm And 10 PM. Not only you caused me inconvenience, you devalued my old laptop without examining it. Upon registering my complaint at the customer care service, I was told that the product will be redelivered to me in 24 to 48 hours. I further waited for the product delivery to happen. The customer care stated that even the redelivery has been declined and that I should again place the order. HERE AGAIN THEY GAVE ME A FALSE PROMISE AND DID NOT COMPLETE MY ORDER. I HAVE SUFFERED DAMAGE OF FIVE DAYS OF WORK. MY MONEY IS STILL WITH THEM AND I CANNOT PURCHASE FROM ELSEWHERE AS MY MONEY IS WITH THEM. In the meantime, the price of the laptop has increased by around 4000 rupees. Even the exchange window is closed right now and I am suffering another loss as the exchange value that I could have got from my old laptop is now not available to me.
Moreover, I have to move abroad in a week and already having limited time. The laptop is not available in local markets and I am further suffering a loss of time and the laptop.
Either the delivery man or AMAZON HAS CHEATED WITH ME AND TRIED TO ENCASH ON THE INCREASED PRICE BY NOT COMPLETING MY ORDER. Neither of this is allowed by the law. I had also purchased all accessories for the laptop which I do not know what to do with. Since I am again being made to wait for refund so that I can purchase a laptop, I am further at a LOSS OF TIME AND RESOURCES. Not only wholly disappointed, but FEELING TOTALLY CHEATED!!!
