I saw the KOKO loan App and Shine Loan App on Facebook and eventually installed those from Google Play Store. However, without providing any details they credited Rs 4,640.27 and Rs. 4640.00 within 24 hours (on 14th & 15th Feb, 22) without my consent. They did not even provide any loan detail i.e. tenure of loan, loan no., rate of interest, mode of re-payment, contact no. etc. and now asking (showing in App as amount due) me to pay Rs. 16000/- (Rs. 8000/- each) within a period of 6 days. Immediately I started searching information on web on KOKO loan and Shine Loan App and understand and find that they are fraud app and harasses people (concern and grievances already raised by many people which is available in public domain) for repayment at highest interest rate with penalty & processing charges even after making payment. They can access personal data from phone and share it to all the contacts extracted from phone during installation to defame, torture, threaten and blackmail people by morphed photos for money, misusing agreements to access data on the mobile phones of borrowers.
Now, I am highly afraid of these devastating fraudulent practices of those instant loan apps and in mental trauma fearing to be harassed and hence, asking help to save us from any such damages and falling prey to cyber-crime from such unauthorized digital lending platforms.
We are ready to repay the credited amount and close the loans, but no authenticated mode of transfer is found. However, I have already uninstalled both the apps and re-installation may cause another sanction of loan (as I read in public domain) and letting my personal data vulnerable. Please help.
