JioFiber is running a scam for new connections. If a consumer opts a new connection, the Jiofiber team will visit your home/office and during installation (after you make the payment) , will cite that they could not complete the connection due to a technical issue at their server and you should cancel the connection (old) and take a new connection. Jio will charge you for both connections – Old and new (Rs 2500 each)
This way, they compel you to take 2 connections with the assurance that the old account will be refunded in 3-5 days. Once the new account is activated, you are scammed.
- The old connection cancellation is not entertained for atleast 2 weeks .
- You will suddenly see that both connections are showing active and in-use
- Even after you cancel, JioFiber will not pickup the device for months and months
- Finally when they pickup the devices (for the old connection) , the refund will be processed partially – Rs 1500 only out of Rs 2500. *** SCAM ALERT**
This way Jio pockets the Rs 1000.00 per customer in disguise of technical error and despite follow-ups will never refund the Rs 1000 .They report the high new subscription numbers in this manner.
