We installed Jio connection at our home as per their first month free policy. Their engineers came and set up the router. They took 1500Rs as security deposit refunable. During the completion of the first month I received a call from their agent that there is a new offer in which they were offering us 1 more month of free internet service if we took another connection and terminated the first one. It seemed legit since the call was from a Jio employee. We proceeded with the connection, they came and installed a new connection and told us that we will have to put a cancellation request for the first one. Which I did the next day. The call center employee told us that they have taken our request and that their team member would come to pick up the router in the next seven days. The termination request was put on 28th April and they processed the cancellation req on 4th May and temporarily suspended our service. After several days of them not coming to pick up my device I finally called them on 13th May to enquire and they tell me that they processed the cancellation on 4th at their end but on 5th May they got a call from my registered number wanting to resume the service so they extended it. THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. I made no such call and I am willing to provide my call details if necessary to show that I did not made any such call. Now they are not picking up my device and are not refunding me my deposit money. Because of their unscrupulous practice I decided to terminate the other Jio Fiber connection as well. They are going to repeat the same thing again and not give back my refund amount. Please help me in this situation. This is a big scam going on in Kolkata.
