I ordered food for my kids and used zomato last evening . The delivery person did not deliver all items. I called him and he said he informed the restaurant and I should take up with zomato. I contacted zomato over the chat helpline and the executive helping was totally unreasonable and unable to help. I started by asking him to check if restaurant will deliver the missing items to which his response was I cannot do that and they provided a promo code for a future order. He said use the promo code to order again and after I did that the restaurant delivered the missing item plus the promo code did not cover the entire amount for the order placed again . I asked him to cancel but he said he cannot unless fee is charged.Net result was we got double the food and overpaid for food . I asked to escalate to someone else and that person too was rude and did not address the issue. I demand they compensate me for time wasted and overpayment they made me do. This amounts to fooling the consumer and if a mistake occurs in their end there should be strict rules for them to resolve and compensate.
