I am using postpaid mobile No.8376924431 for more than three years on my 4G Mobile Redmi Note 7. . Of late, I have faced difficulty in handling the data of this mobile number. My frequent complaints made before the Customer Care of Vodafone were accepted, registered but never resolved practically. In Oct 2019, I decided to change my plan to Red Plan to monthly rental of Rs.399/-. But the data speed which is claimed by Vodafone to be 4G, is just on record, and I never got the data speed of 4G and sometimes even less than 2G. Whenever, I tried to use the internet data to make the payment to the merchants through UPI App or Paytm while away from home, I faced a lot of difficulty in getting the payment cleared online which was delayed just because of inadequate data speed of Vodafone 4G. Moreover, the privilege of getting mobile protection under Red Plan was never accepted by Vodafone saying my mobile number is not on Red Plan. The complaint to this effect was also made in person by me 04 days back by visiting Vodafone Store in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad(UP) .
On 22 Jan 2020, I tried to upgrade the plan from Rs.399 to Rs.499 with an aim to get some good data speed but unfortunately and inadvertently I got activated Redx Plan of Rs.999/- pm. When I realized the mistake, I contacted the Vodafone Customer twice and briefed them about the mistake. But I was informed that if I go back to previous plan or cancel the plan of RedX, I will have to pay Rs.3000’- (Rupees three thousand only) as an Exit fee. Not only this, when I told them about data unavailability on above mobile number, I was informed that I have crossed the credit limit of Rs.1400/- and if my credit limit is increased I will be able to avail the data facility. At the same time, I then requested for credit increase to Rs.2500/- by sending an SMS which was increased to Rs.1537/- after a few minutes. Even after increasing this credit limit, I was not given the data facility by Vodafone. To my surprise, my credit limit was again increased to Rs.5000/- at their own by Vodafone on 23 Jan 2020 but again I was not able to use the data on this mobile and thus I had to buy Airtel Prepaid connection so that I do not face any more difficulty for want of Data from Vodafone.
Anyone can assume that this kind of dealings of Vodafone with its customers in totally biased and uncalled for. The proper authority in Telecom, India should intervene in the matter and resolve all such issues so that our hard-earned money is not pocketed by fooling us.
