I had purchased  the ticket to Puri from Howrah, for journey on 15-05-2020, in the month of February.  PNR No. 6640516850 train no. 12895 Ticket Id:-6828076. It was a counter ticket. The train was eventually cancelled by Railways due to Covid19. But ,since last 2 months I have been trying, there was no specific guidance on how to get the refund. Everything was under lock down since March, everything is in lock down still. I had written mail on 11th May to IRCTC. One Mr. Rajput responded asking for PNR no., when shared since then there was no response. Several reminders given but no result. Today, on 23rd May at 7.30pm, I could reach IRCTC call center again. The person, on phone was very rude once he understood it was purchased from counter, and said he cannot help, nor can he share any no. where to contact for refund and disconnected the line. Similar incident happened when on first week of May I had called IRCTC. The person replying the call was rude to say, “go to counter”.  I am from Kolkata. When they know here everything is in lock down. Additionally, the city suffered cycloan 3 days back and many places are inaccessible still.

  1. Where and how do I get the refund?
  2. Is IRCTC trying not to refund the counter tickets? Their attitude is suspicious.
