I tried booking a tatkal ticket for 2 passengers on January 17, 2024. The ticket was not booked but money is debited. My bank has confirmed that money got credited to IRCTC beneficiary HDFC bank. But it is not refunded to me till date.
I tried chargeback but HDFC bank is saying that money is credited to them and IRCTC has not initiated a refund. My payment gateway Google pay is asking for refund reference I’d but IRCTC didn’t initiate refund. IRCTC is saying below:
Please note that the transaction id : 100004734426921 was done via Autopay & for all transactions wherein the payment is successful, but PNR not issued , no debit is raised to the user’s account and mandate gets released within 30 minutes of the booking in case of UPI & Debit Card transactions.If amount has been debited from account then please contact your card issuing bank. IRCTC is not checking with their bank as the money is already there in IRCTC HDFC bank. IRCTC is asking me to check with my bank that is icici bank only. But my bank is saying that money is credited to IRCTC HDFC bank and chargeback request is failed. Please help. Looks like IRCTC or HDFC or icici bank is not giving my money back. I have doubt on IRCTC or HDFC bank.
