On 15th June 2022, Vodafone deducted INR 70 from my main balance while I was on International Roaming. I contacted their Customer Care via chat through MyVi app and their agent- Mitesh stated that the charges were deducted because I received a call in roaming and spoke for 7 seconds. I confirmed and assured him many times that I never got any call on my number and I am aware of International Roaming charges so I didn’t receive any calls. When I asked him to share the number from which they are claiming to have received the call he mentioned the number with stars as- +918481******. I told him that it looks like my own Vodafone number, How can I call my own number and speak for 07 seconds? He persuaded me to wait for the June month to end and ask for e-bill so that I can see the number. I checked my ebill today (1sy July 2022) and the bill shows that I received call from my own number. I again contacted Vodafone customer care that the charges are invalid but they don’t listen anymore and just keep on saying- ‘you received a call’. I requested them to file a complaint but they didn’t. I am literally tired to seeing the same script being copy pasted by the chat agents of Vodafone and not actually raising and resolving my complaint. Only if I was in India, I would have quickly switched to another service provider.
