Text of Complaint by Dhiraj Yadav:

I ordered a motherboard for my computer and amazon delivered that on 11th Dec 2020.

My computer technician mentioned that product is not working and  also not unto mark, so I need to return the product.

As product had replacement but no return policy, I called amazon customer care for help.

As they found my amazon profile clean, they suggested me one trick to return the product as below.

Once product arrives, handover the original product but don’t receive the replacement product.

Once they receive the product in their facility center, they will generate refund. This message was communicated to me by two customer care executives.

I followed the same. But, delivery agent marked the product delivered even though I had not accepted the product. This happened on 19th Dec 2020.

I immediately called amazon customer care and informed the situation. She assured me to not worry and she will follow the case personally. Also she told me that she will get the confirmation in  after 15 days , on 4th Jan 2021 and she will call me on that day. I waited for 15 days, but did not get any call. After that I called again to the customer care to inquire, the guy told they don’t have update , he will follow. Finally, I had to tweet amazon for this issue. They also took almost 10 days to investigate and finally delivered the replacement product forcefully to me on 15th Jan saying I can file (Customer)C-Return. I trusted him and requested for C-return. Now they are not ready to return.

Now they team keep saying, we cannot return if the product has no defect and don’t reply my queries. Then why at every stage I was misguided by amazon customer care executives and promised for refund.

This was really a tricky fraud and I was guided by amazon itself for this. May be what their executives had communicated at every stage was part of their internal policy and now due significant delay they are not accepting return.

Please help me.
