We have been using consumer to RELIANCE but never received such inflated electricity bills which almost 300% of regular bills? Our regular bill is in between 300-500 INR max but the 1st bill I received from AEML for the month of April was Rs.1240 which was higher and I complained to Adani Power Email: billsupport.aeml@adani.com, to which I received confirmation from AEML that complaints were registered and will resolve soon but nothing was done.
Next month I received a bill of Rs.1360 and I again drop an email with complete for the same but I received a reply from AEML stating that
“The increase in consumption may be due to Seasonal variations: Increase in ambient temperature/ humidity may have led to an increase in your consumption. Hence no amendment in the bill is justified ” These are the exact words from AEML.
In continuation of the email conversation, the due of the bill was over and I ended up paying Rs.1390 for a bill of 1360 because AEML was not accepting the mistake and just stretching the matter till the due date arrives and the consumer has to pay the bill.
Now again in the month of June 2019, I received bill of Rs.1540, what is this?? It seems AEML assumes that the climate has humidity so everyone must be using electricity at peak so they will send the bills also.
On 2nd complaint they sent a person to check for meter and found meteris OK, and now they are asking meter checking charges of Rs.260 as per Maharastra ElectrcityRegulatory Commission.
I’m afraid that if i pay the current bill of Rs.1540 next month again i’ll receive more higher bill amount if this continues, and if i don’t pay they will charges Rs.30/40 as a late fee on bill.
