I have received my electricity bill of Rs 24,020 /- for June 2020 and extremely shocked by the fact that it is exorbitantly high! I am not sure why the consumption is showing so high (approx 700 units per month) when I have been using minimal appliances over the months of March, April, May and June ‘20. I am a single person staying in this flat and wondering how much more electricity can be used by a single person since I have mostly worked from home most of the time. So my consumption should not majorly change in comparison to previous months. Also, in my building there are families of 6 members and their electricity bill is Rs 7,000 approx. I believe that the meter reading is incorrect or the meter is faulty.
For the last 3 months I have been paying Rs 2,000/- on an average(total Rs 5950/-) and on top of that Rs 24,020/- is charged. This makes a total of Rs 30,000 /- for 4 months which has never been the case in my entire life.
I feel mentally harassed by this bill and it has traumatized me. In the current situation of Covid 19 Pandemic where earnings have been impacted, its really inhuman of Adani to play such a dirty game.
