Text of Complaint by Diptee Gavankar:

Dear Sir / Madam this is to bring to you notice willful inconvenience bordering on harassment being done to me by Vodafone Mumbai for a very trivial matter.

I have been trying to transfer my fathers existing Vodafone Mumbai number 9833681525 which is in the Mumbai circle and which is in his name to my name in the Maharashtra circle.

My father has retired from service and is now living outside Mumbai and has no need of this number.

I am also residing outside the Mumbai circle and hence do not want to pay the additional tariff and hence requested that the number (9833681525) be transferred to my name and in the Maharashtra circle.

Please find below a brief of the complaint that I want to register

1. No one in the Vodafone Mumbai office is aware of what process needs to be followed.

2. On the direction of Vodafone customer care officers I have traveled more than 4 times to various Vodafone galleries in Mumbai apparently as they cannot do the process from galleries in the Maharashtra circle.

3. Every time they have demanded a different set of documents and have not accepted my application.

4. I was in the process of porting this number to Vodafone Maharashtra circle but I got a call from Vodafone Mumbai circle and they did not allow me to port the number as they needed documents.

5. After my visit last week to their Borivali gallery they asked me to come back with an NOC signed by my father and my marriage certificate.

6. Today when I went back with the documents mentioned above they tell me that their process has changed and they no longer need these documents but need me to come back with my father’s original aadhar card and to a different gallery..

7. I cannot keep traveling to their galleries every day with documents at their whims and fancies.

8. I request that some action be taken in this case as I am a working mother and my father is a senior citizen and we cannot put up with this charade.

9.Vodafone employees are not aware of the procedure and I will not be held liable to any payments for this card here further.
