Dear Sir/ Madam,
i am Dr.Dennyson Savariraj, working in Chile, as a Scientist. I have been an airtel customer for a long time and I had been using the following airtel numbers 9600000110 for the past 10 years. (Paid a large sum Premium amount for the number aloan) Due to the nature of my work I have been in abroad most of the time and I solely depend on my my mobile number 9600000110 as all my banking and personal details are linked to it. I found that my number 9600000110 was terminated of the service and i could not use it while my other airtel number was working though both were with me outside India. When i inquired i got a reply that it has been deactivated as per TRAI rules because it was not used for 90 days however I was not intimated about the deactivation either before or after deactivation. (Earlier i had not used the same number even for a longer period of time but it was still working).
After my message to airtel, they told me to send a blood relation to any Airtel store to get the number if it is available, however when i asked them to check if the number is still available i did not get any reply. I sent someone but we found it was given to someone else. After my emails one representative from Airtel called me on 08/09/2018 to discuss on this issue. While conversing he clearly admitted after checking the system that it was wrong on their part to deactivate the number and i asked him for the reallocation of the number. After the call he replied me with the same old draft message.
When i asked them as how my other Airtel number is not deactivated and how can it happen to only one number, their reply was, it had very low balance . Moreover they refused the reallocation of my number as it has been already given to another person. Based on their email, i had asked them to give me the call detail record (CDR) and the copy of my application submitted towards my mobile number, but i have not got them till date.
I had sent my lawyer to speak on this issue with my authorization letter duly attested by the Indian embassy, but they neither respected my lawyer nor the letter attested by the Govt of India. They made two of their representatives to speak to me over the phone and the one who spoke to me says that he does not have any data of my case but trying to console me At last i had asked them for the details of the person concerned to be addressed as the respondent but they refused to share that too
According to Airtel record it was deactivated on 06/06/2018 and I used my mobile number for OTP on 01/06/2018 to make a transaction of large sum. So this makes it clear that someone from Airtel kept close watch of my bank transactions and purposely deactivated my number. Moreover this number has been issued to someone within short time after deactivation and a number of this sort has been issued as prepaid which never happens for a fancy number in Airtel.
Now i am paralyzed completely of my banking and my bank accounts are highly insecure as all OTPs got to the so called new customer for whom my number is issued as PREPAID . Similar cases of NRIs have been reported in the social media where their numbers have been deactivated without prior notice by Airtel.
For all my queries Airtel refused to establish the documents and things seem to be very fishy without any transparency. Therefore i suspect that Airtel has been purposely doing this to bring down the economy of India, joining hands with some Anti-Indian elements. In addition they do this to cause a collateral damage to the innovations of Indian researchers working in abroad by paralyze the banking by giving mental torture.
I kindly request you to help me and render justice by getting my number reallocated to me. Thank you.
