I subscribed for a resume booster service with Shine.com.
After this I received a call from the company for buying an additional service which was explained to me as
1. A job thought report will be created.
2. A psychometric test will be done to check suitability of the candidates for job and salary.
3. A resume analysis will be done.
4. Resume writing help will be provided.
After discussing this I checked on thr additional costs and I was told ~6900 and a proforma for payment was sent to my email address. As soon as I paid this amount and sent the confirmation the sales executive Mr. Nitin said that “did you receive the other proforma?, that is for Rs. 13804. “
Before this a second package was never mentioned . It was presented as though everything is covered in 1 package.
Also the second proforma of ~13k was sent only after the first payment of 6961 was confirmed.
All this can be confirmed in th call logs and the email timings.
This is cheating as the consumer is not being given full information and another invoice is raised after the first payment is done.
When I complained to Shine.com they started arguing in technicality that we didn’t explicitly say everything was covered in rs. 6981 .
But the issue is they never mentioned additional payment of rs. 13804 until the payment of rs. 6981 was completed.
