Hello,
I am resident at Tilak Nagar, Chembur West, Mumbai 400089. My Electricity provider is Adani Electricity, Account number: 152691605. Last year, during the Covid time, when in-person meter readings were not done, I received 3 months of incorrect bills for April to June2020 based on Adani’s some senseless estimate. These amounts were 3-4 times higher than my normal consumption (see below).

Despite several repetitive complaints over past 10months to Adani electricity the issue stands unresolved.
Finally on 10th April 2021, I submitted a new formal written complaint, Complaint Reference Number: 662194910 and still no response. Later, I received a letter from Adani that there is nothing wrong with the Electric Meter and if I need to pursue my complaint I need to pay for the independent testing. I am fine to pay for the testing, but clearly till date, Adani Electricity has not acknowledged the problem on their part. Further, in past 11 months they have added additional interest due to the uncleared amount for the three months of wrong bills.
Note that I have been clearing all the electricity bills subsequent to July2020 onwards as they are in-line with my consumption. But, I have not cleared the pending balance for the wrong bills of the 3 months mentioned above which amounts to around INR 8,300. On, April 2nd 2021, I also received a disconnection notice from Adani.
