The electricity bill for june is 12653/-, the meter reading for the current bill taken is 1681.
Calculation of reading
Feb month reading taken in month of march was 60402 and june month reading is taken in month of may 62083, thus the total consumption comes to 1681 on which bill has been charged.
Also an average reading for April and may was charged on 334 meter reading respectively and for which bill had been paid.
Thus the correct reading for june should be 1013 instead of 1681 as they didn’t deduct the charges for april and may.
So, the bill have been generated on the overall difference from Feb to May reading and also included the reading of april and may rather which was suppose to be deducted.
Current bill should be generated on reading of 1013 instead of 1681.
Moreover in this current pandemic situation public is going to their office for clarification by taking risks just because of the negligence by the MSEDCL as the same issue had happen 2yrs back when they had increased the tariff.
No resolution provided by them instead saying the calculation an bill is correct.
